Past & Present Episode 2 of Signs spends most of its time tying the past and present together. All of this culminates in a (literal) explosive end where secrets are revealed. Ada tries to compose herself at the start of the episode as she hears the news about Patrycja and heads up to the crime scene. There, she learns the death took place between 8pm and midnight, along with the reveal that two bullet wounds were found in her chest; an eerily similar coincidence to that of the body 10 years prior....
The Bloodied Shirt At the start of the episode, Mayor Paszke tries to keep the bones a secret and convinces Targosz not to say anything for now. Heading back to the dig site, they begin examining the various different bone fragments. Trela releases Blazej from police custody and he returns home. Things are just a little awkward on the drive home with Ada. Eventually when they pull up at the house, she tells him to collect his stuff and leave....

A Surprisingly Enjoyable Film Solo: A Star Wars Story may not be the best Star Wars film released, nor is it particularly innovative in its execution, but what this sci-fi thriller lacks in originality it more than makes up for with enthusiasm and tenacity, acting as a reminder of how fun these films can be. The acting all round is very good too with both Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover nailing their portrayals of Han Solo and Lando Calrissian respectively....
Somebody Somewhere Episode 4 Somebody Somewhere is a pretty compelling slice of life drama, oddly categorized as a comedy. While there are funny moments here, the show works a lot better as a thoughtful dramedy. The story centers on Sam, a true Kansan but struggling to fit in. Grappling with loss and acceptance, along with finding her place in the world, Sam slowly starts to discover herself thanks to her friend Joel at work who encourages her not to give up on life....

Stand By Me Plot Synopsis Stand by Me is hands down one of the best movies of the 80’s, in this writer’s opinion. Based on Stephen King’s novella ‘The Body,’ and directed by Rob Reiner, it details the story of four twelve-year-old boys who go in search of Ray Brower, a boy their age. However, this isn’t a boy who has simply gone missing. The boys hear that Brower is dead and this rather ghoulish premise is the catalyst for the journey they undertake to find him....
“Ghosts In The Machine” After the initial buzz from the opening episode, it’s here where Picard starts to piece its various puzzle blocks together and prepares for the journey ahead. The methodical pace returns this time too and with a much more deliberate feel to proceedings, there’s a good mystery building here that looks set to bubble up to a more thrilling portion of the series to come. It’s something that definitely suits Star Trek a lot more than the bombastic action in Discovery but whether die-hard Trekkies will take to this new style or not remains to be seen....
Getting The Gang Together Star Trek: Picard returns for another slow episode, this time with a bit more progression around the plot as the narrative continues to split in two – one on-board the Borg ship and the other on Earth. With some flashbacks surrounding the past, one cringe-inducing nickname and the beginnings of an apocalyptic prophecy hanging over proceedings, Picard continues to descend into dystopian territory, leaving behind the hopeful, utopian dreams of The New Generation for a darker and bleaker story to play out....
Stargirl Season 3 Episode 12 Stargirl is the surprise hit on The CW, the one show that appears to be doing rather well while everything else crumbles and falls. Stargirl follows high school student Courtney Whitmore and her stepfather Pat Dugan, who together lead an unlikely group of young heroes to take on the legacy of DC’s very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America. We then cut back in time 10 days before the world is ravaged by a deadly flu outbreak that wipes everything out....
Tim Roth stars as Neil Bennet, a middle-aged man who, as the movie begins, is seen staring into the ocean. It is clear from this opening scene that Neil is not a happy chappie but the reasons behind his discontent are hazy at best. Where is Neil at the start of the movie? Neil is vacationing with his sister Alice and her two children, Colin and Alexa, in Acapulco. With the exception of Neil, everybody seems to be having a good time....
I Am Alec Swamp Thing’s recent cancellation announcement caught a lot of people off-guard, myself included. Infact I was sat in the office reading the latest TV news and as this came up I genuinely asked a colleague, “Is this a joke?”. After reading a little more into the production situation, including creative clashes (Swamp Thing was originally going to be a weekly procedural?!) and heavy budget issues, Swamp Thing’s tale off-screen is as tumultuous and dramatic as it is on-screen....
By The Numbers Sweet Girl is a below-average revenge thriller. The plot is pretty formulaic, the action a bit hit or miss and the antagonists are typically underdeveloped. There is one great twist during the third act which is worth mentioning, but it’s not enough to save this one from bland mediocrity. The story centers on Ray Cooper and his daughter Rachel. The first act is particularly rough around the edges, sporadically jumping through different time periods before finally settling down around 30 minutes into the film....
