Spring Training Hot Stove League returns for another strong episode, one that focuses this time on the growing conflict of interest between the Directors and Seung-Soo doing his best for the team. As we near the Spring Training of the players, a big curveball ultimately leads to a showdown at the end that poses a very intriguing notion going forward with this baseball drama. Following the incident in the previous episode, episode 11 of Stove League begins with the Junior Managing Director dropping to his knees at the office and speaking to his Father, who tells him he won’t fire him but goes on to discuss the situation and how beatings appear to be a family tradition....

If You Wish Upon Me Episode 6 If You Wish upon me is the latest midweek K-drama, combining drama, romance and surprising twists together. The story itself centers on a guy called Yoon Gyeo-Rye. His life has been tough, having lived at an orphanage and spending a considerable amount of time in a juvenile detention center and prison too. Struggling to have a normal life, Gyeo-Rye begins to volunteer at a hospice after a big incident in his life....

The Bride Episode 2 of In From The Cold stars at the prison with Jenny adopting her new identity. Specifically that of a prison warden. Why didn’t she just transform into Tiago before entering? Why go through the hassle of getting his retina scanned when Jenny could just morph into him? Wouldn’t that have solved a lot of issues? Anyway, Jenny, now able to move around the prison freely, sets to work doing rounds and finding Yannick....

When The Chips Go Down Episode 3 of Inspector Koo opens with two spotlights, one on K and the other on Kyung-Yi. This stylish flashback establishes rapport with both characters, as Kyung-Yi questions her about the janitor’s death. Having listened to K, she realizes the pair are pretty similar, as white smoke paves way for us snapping back to the moment out in the hallway at the hospital. K is eccentric and flamboyant, bringing up the subject of Kyung-Yi’s husband and telling her that he’s in a better place now....

After their first win, the two keep on going, buying thousands of lottery tickets to support both their needs and the needs of the people in their small-town community. Their unusual endeavour wins them a lot of local supporters but when a couple of Harvard whiz kids decide to encroach on their game, Jerry has a tough decision to make about their opportunistic venture. Such is the synopsis of David Frankel’s feel-good film, a charming enough tale that is elevated by the spirited playing of Cranston and Bening....

The Murder Episode 1 of Light the Night begins on 6th October 1988. Three hikers head into the jungle off the back of a typhoon striking. As they press on, the trio find a hand sticking out the dirt. Someone has been murdered and the typhoon has uncovered their body. At the police station, detective Wen-Cheng learns about the body up on Mount Jinan. The woman has no ID on her but she appears to be in her 30’s....

Alpha & Omega Episode 9 of Locke and Key Season 2 begins wit Duncan working with Tyler to make the Alpha Key. While they set to work, Kinsey implores the other film crew members to go into hiding, given this fight is about to get ugly. And it doesn’t take long before Gabe makes the first move. He rocks up in Keyhouse and suggests that Kinsey join him. When she refuses, Gabe shrugs and decides to use Nina as collateral, promising to kill her instead....

Adar Episode 3 of The Rings of Power begins with Arondir being brought before an orc legion. He’s chained up along with a bunch of other prisoners and forced to dig. They also seem to be working on behalf of someone called Adar, which could well be an alias for Sauron. When the orcs slash Medhor’s neck for questioning their way, arguing against chopping a tree down, Arondir instead steps up and volunteers to do it, not wanting any more bloodshed....

More Marriage Episode 5 of Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) begins back at the swimming pool with Ki-Rim possessing Seo-Ban. He invites Dong-Mi over to his for some wine, which she gladly accepts. Meanwhile, Hye-Ryung confronts Si-Eun over her feelings for Seo-Ban. She believes it’s one-sided but he explains that they used to know each other from the academy all those years ago. Si-Eun admits to Hye-Ryung that things just progressed naturally....

Claudia After the excellent previous episode that took a realistic perspective on toxic relationships, Love Life takes a slightly different tactic this time around. Focusing more on the bonds and estranged nature of some Mother/daughter relationships, Love Life’s latest episode combines realism with drama in a pretty decent way. Following the incident with Magnus last time, episode 7 of Love Life begins with Darby starting her post-marriage journey 6 months later with a trip to the hospital to have her appendix out....

Epilogue After 9 episodes of angst, romance and break-ups, Love Life Season 2 bows out with a neat little epilogue, closing all of our big plot points explored across the season. We begin with Mia and Marcus attending a play called “Little Ass Boy” by Ola Adebayo. Remember her? She was, of course, one of the flings Marcus was messing about with earlier in the season. It’s very clear the play is about him....

Relative Bearing Episode 6 of Manifest Season 4 starts with police showing up and investigating the crime scene up at the factory. Ben speaks to the press about Eden, while the police are clearly suspicious over the fact that compound explosion and Ben finding his daughter both occurred at the same time. As for Angelina, she shows up at her mum’s place and hides out. That’s probably just as well, given the heat that’s surrounding them both right now....
