We also cut back to the past as well, learning more about The Wolf inside the holocaust camp, in particular showing a nasty torture scene involving Meyer refusing to scream....

It’s one of the oldest rom-com tropes in the book and yet every year there’s a whole wave of titles that rehash this idea and put a slightly different spin on it. Some do work really well, while others most definitely don’t. Step forward German Netflix film Isi & Ossi that takes this cliched idea, intertwines two big dreams together to produce an indifferent, painting by numbers picture that does little to stand out from so many others out there....

Standing Up For Your Beliefs Fresh off the success of Chocolate, JTBC return with their next Friday/Saturday night Korean drama; Itaewon Class. With a few different timelines introduced and a really artistic, vibrant feel to a lot of the scenes, this series gets off to a good start, with a decent enough foundation and a shocking climax that sets the scene nicely for this 16 episode drama to play out. “I hope the world comes to an end”, Yi-Seo says as she sits in therapy and expresses how she feels....

Episode Guide Episode 1 Episode 2 Travels With My Father is an enjoyable travel documentary, no doubt, but the show suffers from an abundance of contrived situations and some forced dialogue that never quite allows the show to feel as organic as it perhaps should. Back for a third season, and showcased across to 2 episodes this time around, Jack Whitehall bows out his Travel documentary trilogy in a decent manner, with one final blow-out in America and a surprisingly touching finale that brings the entire trip into focus....

Fighting your inner demons Featuring a minimalist score and a dull colour palette, Jawbone is a boxing film that lacks passion. Stylistically, its impressively shot but there are times it drags too. With a lack of music to drive the picture forward, its left to the actors to push this film forward. Thankfully, internally conflicted ex-boxer Jimmy McCabe (Johnny Harris) delivers a heartfelt performance in a title otherwise lacking in conviction....

Jinxed At First Episode 12 Adapted from the webtoon “The Jinx’s Lover”, Jinxed At First is a fantasy romantic drama with lots of style and panache. The story centers on Gong Soo-Gwang, a fishmonger at the market. He’s well-known for being unlucky in life and as such, everyone avoids him. But it didn’t used to be that way. Once upon a time, he had a bright future, which involved Seul-Bi. Ironically though, since she’s left 7 years back, every time he dreams of her, bad things happen....

Commit To The Cause India’s dystopian thriller Leila gets off to a good start with an intriguing and strong opening episode. It’s one that does well to set the tone and mood for the show to follow and is arguably the strongest of the 6 here. We begin in the year 2047, in a new nation called Aryavarta ruled by a man named Dr Joshi. The nation is divided into communities, separated by high walls and a victim of segregation....

Blood Hunt Episode 1 of Lisey’s Story begins with a woman swinging. This seemingly innocent scene is undermined by an ominous bite of text confirming that every marriage holds secrets. Well, the marriage in question here is between award-winning writer Scott Landon and his wife Lisey. Scott is listed as a national treasure and prepares to accept an award during flashbacked moments interspersed throughout the episode. A crazed gunman shows up at his conference and shoots Scott in cold blood....

Camel on a Stick Episode 4 of Little America season 2 starts with us introduced to restauranteur Jibril. His dishes are quite the treat but he has trouble encouraging people to buy into his brand – especially as it’s camel meat. After hustling and heading to all the different radio stations in town… he pitches his new idea. It’s camel on a stick and he’ll be heading to the local fair to give them out to hungry customers....

The next day, In-joo and Hye-suk go looking for properties when the great aunt tells her granddaughter that when she moved back to Korea with her alimony settlement, she chose not to remarry and remain wealthy, inspiring In-joo. Hyo-rin visits In-hye in her small house while Hye-suk and In-joo look at an apartment owned by Hye-suk herself. As In-joo inspects the new house with Hye-suk, Hyo-rin is shocked by the state of the Oh sisters’ present accommodation....

Small World Episode 3 of Locke and Key Season 2 begins 23 years ago. Erin is completely out of it and sits motionless in Keyhouse. The housekeeper stumbles upon her and rocks Erin, trying to wake her. Only, this happens to knock the key out the back of her neck, which explains why she’s been subdued all this time. Back in the present, Erin arrives back at Keyhouse. Kinsey and Tyler show her around but there’s a bigger problem afoot....

The Nexus Event Episode 4 of Loki begins in Asgard with a very young Sylvie being snatched up by the TVA and, more specifically, Renslayer. Her disappearance from Asgard is swiftly answered with a timeline reset. It turns out her life was a big enough deviation from the sacred timeline, hence why she was taken. Back in the present, Renslayer and Mobius come under fire from the Time Keepers. With Sylvie and Loki still on Lamentis, they await the end of the world....

Trust Episode 8 of Lost in Space Season 3 begins with alarms wailing overhead. The Robots have attacked and Will awakens with a start. Robot is there to reassure him everything will be okay, while Penny and Judy hold his hands and do the same thing. Meanwhile, Maureen enacts a plan to bring all the Jupiter ships into the colony, intending to overheat the system and use their own tools to outsmart and beat the robots....

Impressive Visuals Let Down By Excessive Nudity The Witness could be one of the best episodes in Love, Death & Robots’ anthology but excessive nudity holds this one back from being a better title. Armed with an impressively unique aesthetic, The Witness uses its simple story as a springboard to really show off the artistic prowess of the episode. The story here begins with a woman sensing, and then witnessing, a murder before fleeing from the killer through the streets of an unknown Asian city....

Seo-Ban and Si-Eun’s Wedding Episode 13 of Love ft. Marriage and Divorce Season 3 starts with Dong-Mi laughing hysterically while making breakfast. Dong-Ma’s father soon shows up though, complete with Dong-Ma and Dangchu the dog. Outside in the parking lot happens to be Yu-Shin and A-mi, with the latter excitedly chirping up about Dong-Ma’s stature and family. Dong-Mi is still laughing when the food is dished up, but as he tries her cooking, it doesn’t appear to be poisoned....

Love in Contract Episode 12 Love in Contract bills itself as a fun and vibrant romantic K-drama. The protagonist here is Cho Sang-Eun, an attractive woman with talent and charm. She works as part of a helper service that provides wives to single people needing partners to take to gatherings specifically tailoring for married couples, like school reunions. Cho Sang-Eun is good at her job but she ends up getting involved with Jung Ji-Ho and Kang Hae-Jin, juggling her time between the two guys on different days of the week....

Could You Be the Sky That Becomes my Destination? Episode 10 of Love in the Air starts with Prapai talking to his father over the phone. The businessman confesses that he was taking time off from work because his partner was unwell. He promises his father that he wasn’t fooling around this time and is serious about his relationship. Sky wakes up and is shocked to see Prapai in his apartment....
