As he draws his final breath, Hae-Ryong reflects on his life and passes away....

Long Live The King Set in Joseon during the early years of what is now Korea, The Crowned Clown is a serialized remake of the 2012 historical film Masquerade. Having not watched that film myself, it’s difficult to tell how faithful this series is to the source material but what’s here certainly impresses so far. At first glance you’d be forgiven for thinking The Crowned Clown is just another slow-burn historical drama....

She’s in tears as everyone is preventing her from helping Professor Lu. Ouyang Kai reminds her Professor Lu doesn’t need her help and that he’s on her side. Professor Lu isn’t surprised Chung suspects him. He tells them that Cheng Lei has been bullied by Chia-Chun and his friends....

The most heartbreaking thing about The Emoji Movie is not the rampant commercialism and product placement. It’s not even the nonsensical story and insulting excuse for characters. Its that the Popeye Movie was cancelled in favour of this. A film that, by the sneak peak I’ve left above this review because a trailer for The Emoji Movie was too offensive, looked to be a fun flick with some slick animation....

Let The Games Begin The Game: Towards Zero is certainly setting itself up as an interesting crime thriller and its opening duo of episodes do an excellent job setting the scene and tone for this Korean drama. With some clever exposition and a couple of genuinely unnerving moments, this Korean drama combines these elements with some humour that works quite well to lighten the mood. Having said that, toward the end the episodes dip a little too far into slapstick for such a dark premise....

All the while allowing our antagonist to run rings around the force and continue his murderous reign with little rhyme or reason. From one of the worst episodes of its 3 season run to a breathless finale, The Handmaid’s Tale is as unpredictable as it is sporadic when it comes to quality and narrative pacing. If there’s one thing this show knows how to do better than most though it’s building tension and Season 3 is no exception, as The Handmaid’s Tale bows out this year with an incredibly tense and dramatic finale....
