Netflix film gets too lost in its labyrinth of misdirections To keep the audience guessing about what is coming next is any filmmaker’s dream. Very few have been able to master the subtle craft of keeping you engaged. Even fewer have mustered the courage to do so while carving out a compelling character study. Director Christopher Charrier tries his hands at both and admirably so. His creation benefits from his vision for a twisted story about a boy remembering his horrible childhood and the truth about his own state of mind....

While Astrid and Midge talk about her dreams and pregnancy amidst the mounds of food, Joel arrives with his parents. Susie heads off to Sophie’s house and after a fall-out with the doorman, follows her client around the house, including a particular room involving a group of men writing jokes for her....

The Secret Episode 6 of Marvelous Mrs Maisel begins with Midge sitting and eating breakfast with her parents, reminding them about her upcoming show. While she does, Sophie sits silently before the run-through of the play as everyone around her begins to get jittery thanks to the investors arriving to see the show. Susie poker-faces her way through conversations with cast and crew before speaking to Sophie directly. However, despite everyone’s initial concerns Sophie knocks it out the park....

We see him at a bus stop when Harold calls him over the phone. The continuity from the previous episode picks up as a cinematic scene would. As an animation, you can’t fault The Secret Life Of Pets for its iconic characters, bright colours and delivering a fun-packed film with some laughs thrown in. Under its shiny CGI hood however, is a fundamentally flawed story that shows all of its best bits in the opening fifteen minutes. It leaves the rest of the film struggling to keep up with the frenetic pace the film sets in its opening and consequently never quite achieves the same standard....
