A single car pulls up at the Turner’s house, and the inhabitants – Sean and Dorothy – hurry downstairs and answer the door....

A Surprisingly Good Superhero Film Shazam! has no right to be be a good movie. It’s cheesy and over the top whilst blending a dark undercurrent of seriousness that’s always in danger of offsetting the tone. Yet somehow it blends these elements together perfectly, delivering a funny, action packed superhero film that’s enjoyable from start to finish. Admittedly the film does open on a pretty dark tone. A young boy in a car gets into a fight with his Dad which results in them being involved in a car accident....
A Predictable But Sweet Ending Episode 16 of She Would Never Know begins with Song-A seeking advice from Ha-Young over how to win over Hyun-Seung. Well, she decides to put on make-up and get herself dolled up, shooting glances at Hyun-Seung in the elevator at work. She tells him she likes him when they’re alone together and wishes him a good day. In a lovely little throwback to the past, Hyun-Seung and Song-A switch roles for when they first started flirting together....
Silence is a film of two contrasting parallels that run from its opening shot in Feudal Japan, to it’s closing glimpse into a raging fire. On the one hand, Silence is an astonishingly raw look at faith and the persecution of Christians in 17th Century Japan. The camera work and lighting are incredible and the sheer defiance portrayed by Rodrigues (Andrew Garfield) despite overwhelming obstacles elevates this film to a whole new level....

Squared Tropes Squared Love is a very simple romcom with basic romantic clichés and very little in the way of comedy. What we’re left with then is a paint-by-numbers canvas where the one unique hook of the movie is overplayed to the point of satirizing the genre. While there will undoubtedly be a crowd for this, whether that’s large enough to leave a lasting impression on this one, remains to be seen....

This happens to be an old childhood game, with kids divided into two teams – that of defence and attack. In order to win, the attackers must touch a small closed-off spot. However, if the defenders push you outside the closed off game area, you die. Metaphorically, of course. This forms the basis of what we’ll be working with here, as we jump forward in time....
Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 3 Episode 5 Now onto its third season, Lower Decks has been one of the more successful and popular Star Trek spin-offs. With Paramount+ putting faith in this project, prior to release they’ve promised a resolution to that shocking cliffhanger last season. Of course, expect the usual blend of comedy hijinks in here too! Interestingly, the trailer also seems to show the appearance of Deep Space Nine too, which should cause some intriguing implications for the crew....
