Split across three episodes, this well-paced story dives deep into the heart of the Mormon Church to uncover a startling revelation that could change their history forever. The infamous salamander letter and a fabled McLellin Collection are the culprits, ironically serving as two proverbial bombshell reveals. It’s not long after that Salt Lake City is rocked by two actual bombings, with their targets seemingly intent on stopping the roll-out of these documents....

Mythic Quest Season 3 Episode 8 Mythic Quest is back and the story this time wastes absolutely no time picking up where we left off. Ian and Poppy are working on their own project, which happens to be a floor down from Mythic Quest HQ. Brad is now out from prison too and he’s back working at Mythic Quest as a janitor… but could he be concocting another sinister plan? How will Ian fit into all of this?...

Stand By Me Episode 2 of Mythomaniac starts with Carole’s teachers speaking to her parents about her terrible behaviour and results at school, which involves her turning up drunk. As they tell her they’re planning to expel her, Patrick reveals that Elvira has been diagnosed with cancer, prompting the teachers to give them more time. After the school runs, the family head to Elvira’s Dad’s food truck for some pizza. Patrick berates Carole for how she has been behaving and grounds her....

The Final Lie Mythomaniac has been quite the controversial series. While quite slow paced, it does have some interesting ideas and has certainly kept me intrigued right up to the end. It raises some ethical questions around how far people are willing to go to get what they wish for in life. The strongest point of the show was definitely the performance of the actors though, each bringing a touching and believable depiction to their difficult roles....

Soar Like An Eagle Episode 3 of Navillera begins with Chae-Rok saved by Deok-Chool, hurrying in and claiming he’s his manager. As they talk, Ho-Beom breaks the news that Chae-Rok’s Father is in prison for assault. Deok-Chool isn’t too bothered by this though, eventually leading to a big fight breaking out. Deok-Chool gets involved with the youths, offering to fight on behalf of Chae-Rok. If he can win a game of billiards then Ho-Beom has to pay up....

Our Beloved Summer Episode 12 Our Beloved Summer is a romantic k-drama centering around Choi Ung and Yeon-Su. These two broke up 5 years ago, off the back of a popular documentary filmed during their high school days. Free-spirited Choi Ung is pretty naïve and works secretly as a painter, adopting the alias of Ko-o. Meanwhile, Yeon-Su lives for her work. Inevitably, the pair cross paths once more in the present....

Mi-Ran and Eun-Hui 1 Episode 12 of Our Blues picks up where we left off, with Captain Jun answering Yeong-Ok’s phone. However, the caller on the other end of the line doesn’t answer. Yeong-Ok eventually takes her phone and heads outside. Apparently whoever it is is painting, although she does mention that Jun is her boyfriend. Yeong-Ok also promises to visit them next month. So who was on the phone? Yeong-Ok is aware of the rumours circulating about her but as she sits with Jun, reveals that it’s not another guy or an estranged child....

Born on a small village on the island, Lee Dong-Seok (Lee Byun-Hung) sells various wares from his trucks but is not sophisticated. He has history with a woman named Seon-A (Shin Min-A), mistaking her friendship as a romance. After moving away to the mainland for some times, Choi Han-Su (Cha Seung -Won) returns to his hometown. He meets his first love Jung Eun-Hui (Lee Jeung-Eun) who runs a fishing store on the island....

Parcel 9 Episode 6 of Outer Banks begins with John B settling in to his new home before looking over the Tannyhill Plantation Map and plotting a route inside, where the gold may be hidden. The four friends head off together and sneak in the basement, failing to find water… until mosquitoes start buzzing around. Realizing they may be onto something, Pope uses his brains and finds a well hidden beneath the floorboards....

The Bonfire Episode 7 of Outer Banks Season 2 begins with Ward giving a video confession confirming he’s the one responsible for all the killings. This, in turn, allows Rafe to be freed. Ward’s estate has been divided up equally too, which the family process while clearly being in mourning. Sarah and Rafe come to blows again, with no love lost between them after he tried to kill her. He tries to make things right and honour Ward’s wishes, pleading with her to stick together as a family for now....

Paint with Love Episode 8 Paint with Love is a lovely little Thai drama, blending romance and comedy together beautifully. The story here follows an abstract painter called Phab who’s hired by the owner of a media agency called Maze. He’s recruited to do some painting for a celebrity’s wedding. After a disastrous accident, Phab starts working for Maze to pay off his debts. What starts an awkward, not-quite-hate relationship between the pair soon grows into so much more....

Zero Daze Episode 5 of Pantheon Season 1 is where everything starts to come apart at the seams. David’s time is limited, and he blinks out. It seems he’s been found, and Maddie is forced to get out before it’s too late. Someone has taken the servers offline, and of course that stems back to Logorhythms. They’ve just taken control of Aeterna. However, they don’t have control of Cary or Caspian....

A Disappointing, Formulaic Slice Of Action Paradise Beach is a French film set in Southern Thailand featuring a mixture of French and English dialogue. This action thriller has enough meat to its plot for you to see it through to the end but the formulaic manner the film achieves this, complete with its anguished protagonist and questionable aesthetic cues, make this a film that fails to really hit the mark. The story begins with a heist gone wrong....

Episode Guide Funny, smartly written and topically relevant, Patriot Act takes a familiar format and adds Hasan’s wit and knowledge to the mix, uncovering some of the biggest secrets and dangers in the world today. With 25 minute long episodes and a mixture of comedy and fact-driven revelations, Patriot Act is a show well worth checking out for its accessibility and educational content. The format itself is incredibly effective and although some of the jokes do drag on a little longer than they should, given that comedy isn’t the prime focus here it’s easy to look past this....

The episode opens with a dreamy black and white establishing shot of an empty street. A man and woman walk slowly together, in love and blissfully unaware of everything around them. After some playful banter, the two sit down to eat at a nearby restaurant where the conversation turns to more serious matters....

The Ghost Episode 1 of Poong The Joseon Psychiatrist Season 2 begins a year after the events of season 1 with Poong resuming his place as a doctor in Hanyang. However, instead of using acupuncture, he has now become a psychiatrist. He uses his deduction skills to cure his first patient who was fatigued by overstudying. He gets Man-bok to take the patient’s books and sell them to cover his house call charge....

The Contract Killer Following a week’s hiatus, Prodigal Son returns for an episode that cranks up the tension and delivers a really exciting slice of drama, one with a shocking twist at the end. Quite how this season will finish remains to be seen but right now, Prodigal Son is certainly gearing up for a tense climax. After the issues surrounding Nicholas Endicott, episode 19 of Prodigal Son returns to see Malcolm called into the precinct as it’s revealed that Eve’s dead and has been for the last 2 weeks....

Strained Relationships Episode 12 of Record Of Youth begins with Hye-Jun answering his phone to Ji-A. She confirms that she’s made a sacrifice for him. Hanging up, he instead speaks to Hae-Hyo about his meddling and getting Ji-A involved in this. Annoyed, he and Hae-Hyo start arguing over what he’s done. Unfortunately things are only made worse by the revelation that Hye-Jun knew about Jin-U and Hae-Na’s relationship all this time....

Star Mort: Rickturn of the Jerri Rick and Morty’s fourth season hasn’t always been the smoothest of rides, but it bows things out with a great finale that wraps up character arcs, leaves room for the next season to grow into and delivers a good blend of action and humour in the process. Episode 10 of Rick & Morty season 4 begins with Beth in space learning there’s a proximity trigger device in her neck....

Political Power Plays Four episodes in to Rookie Historian and with Goo Hae-Ryung now on her way to becoming a historian, the stage is set for a presumed romance to blossom between her and Prince Lee. Right now though the overarching narrative still seems a little vague but the humour is good and the lighthearted segments work well to offset some of the more political elements that begin to filter into the show....
