Hayley’s Transformation After last week’s cliffhanger ending, NOS4A2 begins with a brief flashback of Bing as a child. We see him with a gas mask on and eventually he snaps, killing his Father by shooting him in the head. We then cut back to present day and, still reeling over the kidnapping, Vic snaps and travels in the tunnel again. This time she ends up at Bing’s house. After a casual conversation outside, Vic refuses to believe that Bing is really the wraith and heads back through the tunnel....

The Night Road Since returning, NOS4A2 has really failed to capitalise on the wonder and fantastical horror that made the first season so endearing. While the episodes this year so far have certainly set some good foundations for the show to grow into, it’s also lacked the same urgency and tight plotting that made the first so enjoyable. There are still some positives though – namely Zachary Quinto’s deliciously sadistic portrayal of Charlie Manx – but beyond that the season has struggled to hit its stride....

The Horrors Of Public Transport Patriot Act’s latest episode tackles something that many people have suffered from at some point in their lives. Living on the south coast of the UK, I am forever plagued by the issues surrounding our rail company, Southern Rail. From inflated ticket prices and delays, through to broken carriage toilets and messiness, the trains are less than ideal. After a wacky introduction showcases Hasan’s struggles with catching public transport, this leads nicely into today’s topic – America’s ongoing issue with public transit and just why it’s hated and vilified so much....

A Weird Mishmash Of Different Ideas Prisoners of the Ghostland feels like the movie equivalent of pineapple on pizza; you’ll either love it or hate it. This feels like a weird Frankenstein’s monster of different genres. There’s a bit of dystopian apocalypse, a bit of samurai action, a bit of absurdist comedy and a whole bunch of crazy (and utterly beautiful) symbology. This is a film you really have to pay attention too though, with some sporadic bursts of editing that jumble up the screenplay intentionally....

A Highly Enjoyable Physic-Based Puzzle Game Split across 11 beautifully rendered levels, Qube 2 is a first person physics based puzzle game that mixes challenging, thought provocative puzzles with a story line rife with mystery. As the game progresses, the puzzles get more challenging, introducing new gameplay mechanics to improve on the core gameplay structure. There’s echoes of fellow puzzle game Portal here in the presentation and structure of the game but Qube 2 manages to instil just enough originality in its ingeniously crafted puzzles to make this an enjoyable puzzle game in its own right....

ReMastered’s latest documentary film sheds light on this atrocity, pointing fingers at the British Intelligence for their hand in what happened and the ensuing years of pain for the survivors following the explosion. While the film itself doesn’t quite have the same allure as some of the others in this series, there’s enough here to make for a fascinating and eye-opening watch nonetheless....
