Kiss Episode 3 of Heartstopper starts with Nick searching online and doing a quiz, trying to determine if he’s gay or not. The quiz he does comes back at 62%. Tellingly, Nick keeps all of this bottled up and brushes aside the gym chatter about Tara and Imogen later that afternoon. The root cause of this stems from Harry’s 16th birthday party. It’s at St George’s Hotel and although he initially invites Imogen along, Nick really wants to go with Charlie....

Dolca and Saul stomp on the grapes that Hugo gathered for their wedding wine. It’s a happy celebration, but Astruga can tell that Dolca and Hugo are miserable. Jucef wakes Hugo the next morning. He wants to take him to visit his mother in Sitges. While this is likely Astruga’s plan to keep Hugo from coming between Dolca and Saul, Hugo doesn’t argue. Jucef mentions some Christian women who are looking for a suitor....

Regina continues to take care of Roger’s wife, confessing concerns for Hugo and claiming his innocence. She admits her love for Hugo, adding that her husband is a bad man who enjoys making her suffer. She hopes to be baptized, have her marriage annulled, and be free to marry Hugo. That evening, the king dines at Roger’s palace. He remarks that he’s never tasted such good wine. Roger says the cellarman is a traitor, but his wife has been convinced by Regina....

Despite some good acting and important messaging, this 8 episode drama could very easily have been condensed down to a 5-part thriller and been all the stronger for it. In essence, the story interweaves four different women’s stories together, and then peppers in a litany of melodrama, confrontations and societal messaging for good measure....

Farewell Colin We begin episode 3 of It’s A Sin with Ritchie in March 1986 chasing his dreams and attending numerous auditions. This eventually culminates in him heading back to the bar where he meets a fellow aspiring actor called Donald Bassett. The two immediately hit it off and this leads to some light flirting and inevitably sleeping together. When Donald calls him darling in front of the group, they all suspect there’s more going on here than casual sex....

A Perfect Conclusion Korean dramas, more often than Western series, have a tendency to wrap things up in a pretty good way. Of course, there are exceptions with shows like Vagabond and Memories Of The Alhambra ending poorly but when it comes to Itaewon Class, the series does an excellent job wrapping up all the loose plot threads, taking the time during this 90 minute episode to give everyone a great send-off....

Times Gone By Given the sheer mass of new TV content released worldwide in January, it’s telling then that on the eve of Parasite gaining critical acclaim the world over, arguably the four best dramas of the year so far are all Korean. Between Crash Landing On You, The Game: Towards Zero and Chocolate, Itaewon Class looks set to be another sure-fire hit, with a duo of exquisitely shot and well-plotted episodes, setting things up nicely for the season ahead....

Pink Kaleidoscope’s pink episode picks up six months after the heist. Bob is still alive, as it turns out, but he has a nasty scar across his neck. Nazan is making waves at the FBI and recaps everything that’s happened at the heist, going on to mention how Leo is the mastermind behind the SLS vault being cracked. She also mentions the Triplets and Roger’s part in all this. He’s serving time for grand larceny and murder....

I Hope You Like Missionary! I have to admit, I wasn’t sold on the first season of Killing Eve. I thought the story careered off track a little and the early humour gave way to a darker drama which, while interesting, also opened the show up to some glaring plot issues. However, Killing Eve has really stepped up a gear this time around and it’s certainly been one of the bigger surprises of the year for me....
