A Satisfying Conclusion To A Tumultuous Second Season The biggest problem with The Terror this season has been an overwhelming feeling of missed opportunities. With a unique premise and an interesting opening, The Terror peaked its narrative around the midway point of the season and since then, has felt like running on empty until this finale, which admittedly does a great job closing out all the loose plot threads. At times it flies a little too far off its hinges, with a story line that quickly derives into confusion but the relentless tension that hangs over every scene is enough to forgive some of the lacklustre writing....

Something I Had Never Thought Of Episode 3 of Thirty Nine begins with Chan-Young, Mi-Jo and Joo-Hee all together, eating ice-cream and watching TV. The topic soon turns to funerals but given what we know about Chan-Young, this whole chat feels bittersweet. We then cut back to a teary Mi-Jo still reeling over Chan-Young’s diagnosis. Seon-u drives her over to Chan-Young’s place but as she waits outside, she overhears her friend being grilled over her previous ties with Jin-Seok....

Jack In The Box Super Bowl Sunday will forever go down as one of my favourite episodes of TV. The crescendo of 2 years worth of build up to this point combined to form the perfect amount of characterisation and suspense, executed perfectly right the way through the 40 minute episode. Seeing Rebecca buying candy from the machine while doctors rush into Jack’s room behind her is a scene ingrained in my memory and like many other fans of this show, This Is Us has a way of making these moments so important that they linger for years afterwards....

Hell Finds You Everywhere is an atmospheric album, pulsing as it plays. Thousand Below is an act that performs for the out of luck; the people lost in their own private gutters, and the estranged who stand against the storm. Lyrically, the band directs the scenes with snapshots that offer so much in vividness and depth. Musically, the outfit play their instruments with precision and intent, absorbing every moment like a blood-covered bandage....

It was bleak, frantic and fast-paced across both seasons of action. Some of that can be attributed to its length and I’ve commented before about the pacing of the second season, which in my eyes was better than the first but its plot needed another 2 or 3 episodes to breathe....

The Shoot-Out Episode 2 of Two Weeks to Live begins with a stand-off as Kim confronts her Father’s killer, Jimmy. She confirms her Father’s name is Bill Noakes. Only, Jimmy can’t remember who he is. After a trick involving a trap door, Jimmy scrambles for a gun and the two engage in a stand-off. This inevitably leads the duo to fight around the house. Kim and Jimmy both trade blows until the former knocks the man down and turns him into a bloody mess....

Revolution Episode 5 of Undercover Season 2 begins with Nathalie promising to be 100% invested in the case. However, Nick and Bob both worry that she may be too emotionally tied to this, especially with her crying the previous night. When Bob returns home he finds Polly waiting for him. She mentions the holiday park and how she’s been trying to uncover the truth about his past. Bob remains more concerned over her well-being though, apologizing for getting her wrapped up in all this....
