Boilermakers Episode 4 of Night Sky begins with Franklin continuing to distrust Jude’s story. After finding the bloodied knife, he heads off to see Officer Thomas, wanting to try and do a DNA test and figure out who Jude really is. Of course, Thomas doesn’t see the need to do so, and Franklin’s crazy cocktail of circuitry and conspiracies only reinforces his initial feeling of Franklin being mentally frail. Jude digs into the records and learns that his father was arrested for not having a place to stay....
Brave New World Episode 4 of Nine Perfect Strangers begins with a flashback to the past. Specifically involving Masha as she heads into the parking lot. She’s being followed by a gunman who shoots her. This single gunshot blasts us back to the present as Heather asks whether they’re all being medicated. Masha admits that she’s micro-dosing them all with magic mushrooms. Even Tony too. His oxy has been switched out a while back for mushrooms....
Ever After Why is Carmel at Tranquillum? Episode 8 of Nine Perfect Strangers begins this finale with Masha shocked over Carmel’s transformation. Sporting a glossy eye, Carmel admits that she’s responsible for the text messages and threats. Carmel came to the facility to try and help her but Masha has failed to do so – at least so far anyway. Masha forgives her for what she’s done, while the girl struggles to forgive herself....
Rock But No Roll Music and rhythm games have been with us since the early 70’s. Of course, since then the genre has taken on many forms – with PaRappa The Rapper bringing the colourful button pressing we’ve come to know as the staple of these sort of games. No Straight Roads is not another rhythm game like that. Instead – for better or worse – this feels like an attempt to try and reinvent the genre like PaRappa did and head in a brand new direction....
So Very Beautiful The stunningly depicted and long-awaited anime, Violet Evergarden: The Movie (2021) is now on Netflix in several countries, including the UK. This past summer it finally made it to UK cinemas, sliding through so quickly you would have missed it if you’d paused. So now’s your chance. Despite an interesting concept, a great musical score and the star power of Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt, ‘Passengers’ is a poorly edited frustrating mess that can’t quite decide what sort of film it wants to be. Despite promoting itself as a science fiction flick, ‘Passengers’ is more romance than sci-fi. Theres also a tease that the film could turn into a dark thriller too but this doesn’t come to fruition despite a tense mystery surrounding the characters....
Cruisin’ For A Bruisin’ One of my favourite holidays I remember taking as child was ga cruise called “Pharaohs and the Promised Land”. With my family, we visited Israel, Syria and Egypt in a 14 day adventure that allowed us to soak in the beauty of these countries. Waking up every few days to see completely different city out on deck is such a strange and exhilarating feeling, it’s no wonder that by 2020 it’s predicted 30 million people will be taking cruises....
