After the issues with the prequel trilogy, it was always going to be a tough ask for J.J. Abrams to please both new and existing fans and deliver a film that appeals to both. Whilst The Force Awakens isn’t the best Star Wars film in the franchise, it brings some much needed stability to the series with a film that stays relatively close to the story beats of A New Hope, while moving the narrative forward with a brand new tale....
Like & Share Every morning I wake up, turn off my alarm and check my Samsung notepad for the day’s reviews and schedule. The Final Push Episode 8 of Surface starts with Sophie running. It’s been several weeks since Baden’s murder, and she makes her way to Baden’s empty apartment, struggling to hold back tears as the memories of the past taunt her mind. She continues running, making it back home where James is chatting to Inspector Seager from SFPD. He’s there about Baden, and specifically the fight that happened earlier in the night....
Parallel Episode 6 of Tales From The Loop sees us follow Gaddis, the security guard who works at MCEP. Discontent with his life, he spends most of his time alone before heading back to the field and trying to fix his tractor. However, a strange portal momentarily opens up in the ground but it disappears as quickly as it began as he starts tinkering with it. At the bar that evening, Gaddis bumps into the new guy in town, Kent....
At the party, Bree does hook up with Tim. He does not know that she is a virgin but regardless, doesn’t last long. In fact, he goes out just a bit too quickly for it to be usual. Hughie stews in his anger as the various supers brush off the incident and struggle to look him in the eye and apologize....
Chasing The White Rabbit Following the first episode’s almighty cliffhanger, The Chosen One returns and picks up right where it left off from before. Lúcia scrambles to find people to help save Mateus but no one seems interested. However, she talks to the Doctors about what she’s seen, which leads Damião into the jungle where he comes across a mysterious woman dressed in white. With Damião still stuck in the jungle, Lúcia and Enzo discuss the night’s events before proceeding with administering shots for everyone – for real this time....
The Beginning Of The End The Dark Crystal is one of those timeless classics that holds up against the test of time. I remember watching it as a child and having recently rewatched that film in preparation for this series, I went in with the original story fresh in my mind. The result is something that breathes new life into the world of Thra, a beautifully crafted recreation of this alien planet and an intriguing prequel that leads things nicely in to the feature film....
The Blackwater Episode 1 of The Essex Serpent starts with a pregnant woman in the water, praying. Something appears to approach, and as her scream pierces the air, a little girl runs away. We then cut across to Doctor Luke Garrett in London, who wants to operate on a man who’s about to die. The man (Michael) refuses, wanting instead to pass from his world “unscarred.” Luke urges Cora, his wife, to comply....

The Debrief The adventures of Bucky and Sam comes to a close in suitable Marvel fashion, with Karli and the Flag Smashers stopped from carrying out their plan. All of this while showcasing a brand new Captain America (more on that to come!) In this final episode we also received some pretty big reveals, along with some clues over where the universe will be going next. I Predict A Riot Episode 3 of The Feed begins with Max awakening, unaware of him writhing in pain in the middle of the night. Holding off on his proposal for now, he and Eve get ready while Tom makes a detour, visiting Danny in hospital after his seizure. Switching off his feed, Danny struggles with anxiety, having serious issues constructing sentences until he turns The Feed back on again. This poses a particularly interesting idea stemming around Feed addiction....
At the trial, Dr. Peter Breggin takes the stand. He testifies as to how Michelle’s medication may have hindered her judgment. He also brings up that Conrad’s medication could have increased the risk of suicide. In 2014, Conrad asks Michelle if he’s selfish for wanting to kill himself. He says he’s scared of failing again, and she counters that he must not really want to die if he’s so scared to try different things....
