March Highlights (scroll down for a full list) The Walking Dead: Season 10 (2019) – March 1st This acclaimed horror series is approaching its final chapter. If you have stuck with it through its highs and lows, you probably won’t want to miss the penultimate season of this brutal comic book adaptation.
Fans of the anarchic comic book show will want to tune into this anthology series set within the same universe. It’s animated rather than live-action but don’t expect the language or violence to be toned down in this episodic spin-off. The Postcard Killings (2020) – March 11th Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan tops the cast of this muddled serial killer thriller that offers very surprises. Needless to say, you’ll wish you weren’t here! Where do we go when we die? That question is up for debate but one thing is for sure, we probably don’t end up as digital uploads in a virtual Heaven! That’s the premise of this comedy, however, and while weird, the first series was still pretty funny. As it’s from the mind of Greg Daniels, the man behind Parks and Recreation and the US version of The Office, the fact that it raises smiles is hardly a surprise. Regina Hall stars in this new horror thriller about three African American women who encounter terrifying supernatural forces while studying at a predominantly white New England University. Expect pointed observations on race, class and gender, alongside the horror. This long-delayed film stars Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas and is directed by Adrian Lyne, the one-time master of the erotic thriller genre. It’s based on a Patricia Highsmith novel and is about a man who gets into very deep water when he becomes a prime suspect in the disappearance of his wife’s lovers. The fact that it began development in 2013 doesn’t bode well but it might still be worth watching, despite the behind-the-scenes dramas.
Arsene Wenger: Invincible (2021) – March 25th Documentary about the Arsenal manager who managed to transform the club and its players. Should score well with fans of the team and those with a love of the sport. Spencer (2021) – March 25th Kristen Stewart stars as the much-loved but ill-fated member of the Royal Family, Diana Spencer, the Princess of Wales. It chronicles her unhappy married life to Prince Charles and has been well-received by both critics and audiences, most notably for the career-best turn from Stewart. Reality talent show featuring global superstar Lizzo as she begins the hunt to find the next big thing in the world of dance.
