A Shadow of the Past Episode 1 of Rings of Power starts with narration from Galadriel, telling us that the world was so young there’s been no sunrise, but even then were was light. Get ready for this sort of cryptic half-riddled chatter, as we’ll be seeing a lot of it. Anyway, the opening scene shows a young Galadriel making a paper boat and watching it sail down the water. Don’t worry, here’s no killer clowns here, as the other kids throw stones at it....

Red Colby Standing By Combining photo-realistic animation with an action-packed episode depicting one pilot’s attachment to her plane, Lucky 13 is a well written little short, showing off some neat camera tricks with a tightly composed story. All of this combines to make this one of the strongest episodes in Love, Death and Robots’ first season. The episode itself sees rookie pilot Lieutenant Colby, given the keys to a plane infamously known as unlucky 13....

The Spicy Chicken Saga Episode 12 of Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) begins with Yu-Shin showing off the gift he’s got for A-Mi. She cheekily runs through a number of different intriguing items until the truth is revealed. It’s painkillers. He drops her off back home and the two hold hands briefly before Yu-Shin takes off. A-Mi rings though and tells Yu-Shin to come back. She has something to tell him and wants to say it face to face....

A Troubled Past Episode 4 of Love Alarm sees Sun-Oh arrive at the nurse’s office, just as Hye-Yeong hides Jojo behind the screen. He casts one last knowing glance her way before leaving with Sun-Oh. After some time together, Sun-Oh catches up with Jojo, asking her about visiting Jeju Island which throws up some flashbacks to the past. Sun-Oh tells her she doesn’t need to go to work and instead takes her out skating on a date while Hye-Yeong heads home and reminisces over old times....

More Flawed Than Loved Love With Flaws is an utterly bizarre Korean drama and after a pretty enjoyable opening set of episodes, returns here with a questionable follow up, one that’s almost certainly going to polarise audiences. Kang-Woo’s IBS is a constant factor of the series that will make or break this and if you’re not a fan of bathroom humour or lowbrow comedy, this is unlikely to be k-drama you’ll stick with for the long-haul....

You Can Make A Killing Working The Buses After a three-year hiatus, Luther returns with a grizzly episode of murder, conspiracy and gritty police work. Mixing two storylines seamlessly together, Luther carries the momentum over from its fourth season for a really solid opening episode here. Idris Elba is as captivating as ever as the grizzled police detective and the return of a familiar figure in the dying moments of the episode leave the door wide open for where this story is headed going forward....

Before he does, Yoon-soo tells him not to ask Si-an about her again. She doesn’t stop thinking about Seung-yoo, however. Both of them are in and out of the library, checking out the books that connected them years ago. Seung-yoo even manages to acquire her number....

Making Sense Of The Present Melting me Softly feels a lot more grounded now that it’s settled in the present, with an episode featuring hardly any flashbacks and predominantly set in 2019. We’re given more development into the mystery surrounding the attempted murder of the professor and the story moves along at a decent enough pace, giving us progression for most of the characters. We begin with Mi-Ran coming face to face with Byeong-Sim and while she doesn’t recognize him, he’s too shocked to say anything....

A Family-Orientated Dungeon Crawler Dungeon crawlers are one of those timeless video game genres that never seem to go out of fashion. From the early days on the PC with first-person efforts through to the unrivaled success of Diablo, the videogame industry has left no stone unturned in its quest for producing competent and driven crawlers. Minecraft Dungeons then is an interesting game because it’s really not designed for adults. It’s a simple entry-level crawler that plays off the Minecraft IP to deliver something accessible to kids and acting as a playable title for the whole family....

Despite that, the series has all the makings to be one of the better Korean dramas of the year. We begin in August 1398 with a group of soldiers deliberating over the best way to approach killing the Crown Prince....

She heads out bowling with her work colleagues, messaging her siblings to let them know she’s going to be late. On the way out the door her boss scathingly suggests she move closer to Seoul.
